Joint Mender contains the most potent
herbal concentrates available in Ayurvedic Science for joint care and
prevention of arthritis. When formulated in the
correct amounts and blend by our proprietary process, these herbal extracts
improve joint health while helping to soothe pain, alleviate
disability, and restore flexibility to damaged joints. The destructive effect of stomach acids on active herbal
ingredients has prevented the introduction of this ancient wisdom in
capsule form for centuries. The team at India Herbs has solved this problem
by developing a potentiating formula in conjunction with natural absorption
catalysts and bioenhancing capsule coating to prevent premature degradation
of key constituents.
Joint Mender maintains
nitrogen balance in the body, helps the body absorb and conserve calcium,
revitalizes the liver to support cell regeneration, soothes and protects
internal tissues, improves nutrient absorption in the intestines and delivery
to joints that require healing, invigorates the immune system to prevent
diseases like rheumatoid arthritis from taking hold, rejuvenates the nervous
system, prevents binding of the body's estrogen to cartilage cells, promotes
removal of water and toxins from joints, provides a wide range of vitamins
and minerals necessary for joint recuperation, improves blood circulation to
relief stiffness, boosts energy levels to promote cell growth and health,
warms the joints to prevent injury, and relieves pain and inflammation.
Simply
take one Joint Mender capsule two times per day to
maintain and intensify these effects on your body over time.
Joint Mender is a safe, proprietary selection
of special herbs renowned for their healing properties. Concentrated
Extracts of these herbs have been blended in a powerfully effective
combination to increase assimilation and effective potency of each
ingredient while eliminating unwanted side-effects. Gathered from
throughout India, they include:
●
Methi -
Trigonella Foenum-Graecum (Fenugreek)

Methi seeds contain alkaloids and proteins that are high in lysine and tryptophan.
Lysine is an essential amino acid needed for growth and to help maintain
nitrogen balance in the body. It helps the body absorb and conserve
calcium. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid (which means it cannot
be synthesized and must be part of your diet). Tryptophan is precursor
for serotonin (a neurotransmitter) which plays an important role in liver
regeneration and helps induce cell division which is essential for healing.
Methi's steroidal saponins (diosgenin, yamogenin, tigogenin, neotigogenin)
and mucilaginous fiber help soothe and protect irritated internal tissues of
the body.
●
Guggulu -
Commiphora Mukul (Guggul)

Guggulu has astringent, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It
contains guggulsterones and guggulipids which have been used in traditional
Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Guggulu
also promotes the growth of healthy and beneficial flora in your intestines,
therefore maximizing nutrient absorption which in turn strengthens your
immune system. A healthy immune system can help prevent auto-immune conditions
like rheumatoid arthritis.
●
Ashwagandha -
Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha)

Ashwagandha is easily the most potent herb in the entire botanical kingdom.
It has the ability to promote physical and mental health, provide resistance
against disease and diverse adverse environmental factors, revitalize the
body in debilitated conditions, and increase longevity. Ashwagandha
contains steroidal lactones: withanolides, withaferin and heterogeneous
alkaloids including cuscohygrine, anahygrine, tropine, pseudotropine, and
anaferine. These compounds contribute to resistance to stress, increase
stamina, and promote general well-being. Ashwaganda is an "adaptogenic"
herb that imparts a rejuvenating effect on the body and helps you cope with
stress. It provides restorative benefit to the nervous system, counteracts
anxiety and high blood pressure, promotes a calm state of mind. Ashwaganda
brings the body back to equilibrium by relaxing it when stressed and
energizing it when fatigued.
●
Ajamo -
Apium Graveolens (Celery)

The main constituents of Ajamo (as a powerful 5 to 1 ratio extract) are terpenes, coumarins,
furanocoumarins, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, choline, ascorbate, and
fatty acids. These plant compounds bind to estrogen receptors and
cartilage cells, thereby preventing the binding of the body's own estrogen to
the receptor. Since there is a higher incidence of osteoarthritis in
women, studies suggest that estrogens may play a role in this disease. Ajamo
also has a direct action on
the kidney functions - increasing the elimination of water and speeding up the
clearance of accumulated toxins from the joints. Its high potassium
content helps prevent arthritis since studies have shown that potassium
deficiency may contribute to the occurrence of arthritis.
●
Shigru
-
Moringa Oleifera
(Horseradish Tree)

The leaf, seed, and fruit powder of Shigru are naturally rich sources of
vitamins and minerals. One hundred grams of the
edible portion of Shigru pods, fresh leaves, and dried leaf powder will contain the
following water-soluble vitamins: 2.6mg of vitamin B1(thiamine), 20.5mg of
vitamin B2, 8.2mg of vitamin B3, and 220mg of vitamin C. In addition,
the following
fat-soluble vitamins will also be present: 16.3mg of vitamin A, 113mg of vitamin E as much as
423mg of the lipotropic element Choline, 19.2grams of fiber, and several
key minerals (2003 mg of Calcium, 368mg of Magnesium, 204mg of Phosphorus,
1324mg of Potassium, 3.1mg of Copper, 28.2mg of Iron, and 870mg of Selenium).
In addition to these vitamins and minerals, one of the most significant
benefits of Shigru is the ability of this plant to provide as much as 27.1
grams of protein (nearly 1/3 of the edible portion) including 19 of the 20
prominent amino acids. The roles that amino acids play in the
fundamental processes of tissue formation, regeneration, and function are so
distinctive, that this class of substances is considered to be the
primary component of all living matter. Humans do not have the ability
to synthesize all of the amino acids required for normal, good health.
Those that must be supplied in our diets are called essential amino acids. Shigru contains all of the eight
essential amino acids. Adequate
nutrition requires the consumption of sufficient protein
to meet daily requirements. Deficiency results in a weakened immune
system since adequate protein intake is necessary for the formation of
antibodies. Shigru's ability to supply this extraordinary range of
nutrients makes it a significant contributor to healing processes related to
joint recuperation.
●
Guduchi -
Tinospora Cordiofolia
(Indian Tinospora)

The plant is used in Ayurvedic rasayanas to improve the body's resistance against infections. It has antispasmodic,
anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. The main constituents
of this herb are tinsporine, tinosporide, tinosporaside, cordifolide, cordifol,
heptacosanol, clerodane furano diterpene, diterpenoid furanolactone
tinosporidine, columbin, and ß-sitosterol. The plant is effective in
preventing fibrous changes and promoting wound healing, decreasing
inflammation, and stimulating calcium absorption - all important elements for
joint recuperation and health.
●
Shallaki
-
Boswellia Serrata (Indian Frankincense)

Shallaki is used as an anti-arthritic and anti-inflammatory extract in
Ayurveda.
Its anti-inflammatory action is used for the treatment of rheumatoid
arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, low back pain, myositis and fibrositis.
The therapeutic action of a standardized Shallaki extract includes reduction
of joint swellings, restoration and improvement of blood supply to inflamed
joints, pain relief, increased mobility and amelioration of morning
stiffness. It has also been used to improve appetite and alleviate
general weakness and debility. Shallaki reduces the synovial fluid
leucocyte count and lower the elevated serum transaminase levels, as well as
erythrocyte sedimentation rates. Inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid
arthritis are characterized by a marked increase in the above mentioned
parameters. Shallaki is effective in shrinking inflamed tissues,
mediated through a vascular phenomenon. It improves blood supply
to the joints and restores the integrity of blood vessels, by opening up
collateral blood circulation.
●
Gokshura
-
Tribulus Terrestris
(Tribulus)

Gokshura is a
psychological and physiological enhancer that stimulates the production of
the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). When LH levels are elevated, the natural
production of testosterone also increases. LH is a hormone that also
boosts energy and virility. This herb also has a stimulating effect on
the liver by helping to convert cholesterol and fats into hormones and
energy. By promoting production of your body's own hormones, it works
only within the body's natural limits to assist you to achieve your strength
and musculoskeletal potential. The principle constituents present in
the drug show antiperiodic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic
properties. The plant is used in Ayurvedic rasayanas to improve the immune
system and the body's resistance against infections.
●
Haridra
-
Curcuma
Longa
(Turmeric)

Haridra (as a
potent 7 to 1 ratio extract) is one
of the best natural antiseptics. It plays a key role in the regulation
of the immune system. This antioxidant property makes it a good
digestive tonic and blood purifier. Haridra helps in the clearing and improves
functioning of the entire system, particularly the liver. It assists
in calcium absorption and increases cellular communication, thereby playing
a key role in the regulation of the immune system and healing. The significance of
Haridra in medicine changed considerably when it was discovered to have
antioxidant properties due to its naturally occurring phenolic compounds.
These phenolic compounds are collectively termed curcuminoids, since their
principal ingredient is known as curcumin. Research has indicated that
these curcuminoids in Haridra have anti-inflammatory activity, which is
comparable in strength to steroidal drugs and non-steroidal drugs such as
indomethacin and phenylbutazone. In addition, curcuminoids inhibit
enzymes which participate in the synthesis of inflammatory substances in the
body. Curcuminoids prevent the synthesis of several
inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotrienes. In some cases, the
therapeutic effects of Haridra are comparable to those obtained with
phenylbutazone, a prescription drug known for its analgesic and
anti-inflammatory properties.
●
Ardaka
-
Zingiber Officinale
(Ginger)

Gingerol is the active compound in Ardaka. In a potent 4:1 ratio
extract form, concentrated levels of Gingerol stimulate peripheral
circulation to the extremities resulting in a warming effect on the body and
joints. Ayurvedic practitioners rely on Ardaka as a "carrier" herb
that enables other herbs to react more effectively in the body. Scientists
have now discovered other potential uses including relief from the pain and
inflammation of rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Krishna C. Srivastva from the
Institute of Odense in Denmark has stated that arthritis patients reported
"significant relief" from pain after taking less than a tablespoon of Ardaka
every day for three months. The Medical Tribune (vol.30,18:16)
reported one study of arthritis patients who took daily servings of Ardaka.
All patients reported that "they were able to move around better and had
less swelling and morning stiffness after consuming the spice". Ayurveda attributes stiffness, slowness, and pain that results from
rheumatic conditions to the entrance of cold and dampness in the body, an
observation concurrent with those who suffer from rheumatic symptoms that
are intensified by inclement weather. The whole process of the joints
losing their lubrication, function, and warmth is seen as a "cooling of the
body", referred to as atrophy in the West. Ardaka is regarded as one
of the classic remedies for these conditions and is used internally and
externally. It is also an excellent ingredient in arthritic formulas
to counter stomach problems resulting from the overuse of prescriptive
drugs.
●
Yashtimadhu
-
Glycyrrhiza Glabra
(Licorice)

In the
Ayurvedic system of medicine, the roots and rhizomes of Yashtimadhu have
been employed clinically for centuries for their anti-inflammatory,
anti-ulcer, and anti-microbial activities. Yashtimadhu contains
glycyrrhetinic acid and glycyrrhizin carbenoxolone which have
anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that contribute favorably to
hepatoprotective effects on the body and protect the liver. The liver is the
body's largest internal organ and is a one of the most significant and
complex organs that is essential to life. Yashtimadhu promotes the
growth of healthy cells and protects cells against premature and abnormal
aging by protecting the liver. This provides excellent support for
joint health.
●
Pippali
-
Piper Longum
(Long Pepper)

Pippali is a Rasayana plant, reputed in Ayurveda for promoting physical and
mental health, improving defense mechanisms of the body, and enhancing
longevity. The fruits are used as a anti-irritant and analgesic for
muscular pains and inflammation. This herb yields an alkaloid called
Piperine. It is a proven bioenhancer that increases the availability
of nutritional substances. Pippali as a powerful 4:1 ratio extract
stimulates thermogenic response or the release of metabolic heat energy in
the body as a precursor to intense physical activity.
These
ingredients comprise a Proprietary Blend that goes to work directly on the entire
musculoskeletal system with positive impact on hormonal levels, blood flow, and
healing of damaged joints.
